Research Director (Research Director as of July 2022, previously Research Project Manager)

  • Responsible for managing divisional research efforts for surgical staff including:
  • Supervise daily tasks for clinical research coordinators
  • Supervise students at varying levels – graduate & undergraduate students, residents, research fellows
  • Responsible for organization and planning via Monday.com
  • Responsible for CommiSur lab accounts & finance
  • Help students develop research projects & enable their advancement
  • Assist with protocols, manuscripts, systematic, scoping, & rapid reviews, guidelines, clinical studies (single & multicenter studies), etc.
  • Advise on study/review methodology
  • Medical librarian for reviews
  • Submit, maintain & renew REBs in Nagano
  • Monitor & facilitate progression of projects
  • Develop REDCap databases as needed
  • Assist with grants as needed
  • Ensure TCPS & Good Clinical Practice is followed
  • Work with RI-MUHC & McGill legal offices for multi-site studies or vendor engagement
  • Coordinate efforts for multi-disciplinary ERAS team (MCH & Shriners) for pectus repair, preparation of pre-printed orders (PPOs), approvals, processes, data and work with vendor on patient education material
  • Advise other teams within the hospital with new implementations of ERAS
  • Participate in Education Committee meetings

  • Started Patient Partner Research Advisory Committee (serve as main point of contact)
  • Act as patient partner as needed

National Coordinator – Canadian Consortium for Research in Pediatric Surgery (CanCORPS):

  • Monitoring & facilitate progression of projects
  • Work with each site’s legal office, REBs, financial offices and Investigators
  • Liaison for all research coordinators for 15 sites
  • Liaison with MICYRN or external networks
  • Assist with REB approval
  • Help develop REDCap databases as needed
  • Assist with finding & applying for grants
  • Assist with contracts, including consortium & data sharing agreements
  • Responsible for cancorps.ca website

Children’s Journey Program Manager, RI-MUHC Montreal Children’s Hospital, CommiSur lab – (2021-)

  • Responsible for quarterly reports to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation
  • Organize and plan Steering Committee meetings
  • Engage with patient partners
  • Supervise Children’s Journey Coordinator
  • Planning with app developers
  • Maintain budget
  • Planning with app developers – contribute to app design, implementation, testing

National Coordinator – Canadian Biliary Atresia Registry (CBAR) (2020-)

    • Monitor & facilitate progression of projects
    • Liaison for all participating sites and external networks
    • Assist with REB approvals via RISE
    • Assist with data across all sites and help with REDCap database maintenance
    • Local data entry

    • Assist with financials & Workday Finance
